Not entirely related to maltese bus routes, but the last 3 months has seen me change jobs and move towns, so Ive been a bit distracted – and plans for a month in Malta have been put back – however I have made a quick update to a short deadline, to make the latest version possible to meet the printing deadlines for the German tourist guide – I have made a number of changes based on changes rumoured for the end of the month, but still not too much on arrivas website. I expect ill make a few more fixes as we get close to May 27th timetable changes. Ben
Sorry to be the one to point this out but the X6 (Valletta-Cirkewwa express) is missing off your new map – I doubt that they would take this off in May as it is quite popular (or do you know something that we don’t ?).
OK – I take that back ! They have withdrawn the X6 and replaced it with a slower stopping service !
The changes are now listed in detail on the Arriva website at http://www.arriva.com.mt/news-details?id=135&l=1 and there are a heck of a lot of them – – worth delaying the printing of the guide book for !

cheers phil – yes Ive been pickingup bits but it was an incomplete list. at last some details – I better get back to the publishers- thanks for the spot!
The latest bus timetables are now on line on a revamped Arriva website and
whilst there is a lot of good stuff on there, some of it is well hidden !
Timetables can be found at http://www.arriva.com.mt/bus-timetable-library but to locate
the maps, you need to use the “Find Your Route” box on the front page of the
website (select the route number of the bus route, click search, then click the
“Download Map” button at the bottom of the next page). These are much better
maps than were available previously.
I suspect that the new web site is a work in progress so lets hope that in the
future they will put links to the route maps on the main timetable pages as well
and enhance the maps to include the location of the bus stops.
yes, thats much much better- still a bit random but the map images are much clearer. I cant seem to see any way of downloading a batch of maps – the output marked “maps” is there but they dont link to anything. I dont fancy performing 100 searches just to get the jpegs out – any ideas?
Ive found a shortcut! I can guess the object ids from the first 3-4 onwards – better than nothing….
